Autumn has arrived and I'm excited to start practicing indoors with you again, this time at the most beautiful Yoga location in the city: The Yoga Garden Munich.
In this course, we will build up a solid, energising Hatha Yoga practice and learn more about the fundamentals of traditional Hatha Yoga, incl. Pranayama, Dhyana, Asana and Yoga Philosophy. You'll learn to establish your own yoga routine which you can practice at home every day. The classes are geared to charge you full with energy and center you for the week ahead.
Course contents:
Dhyana (Meditation): with so much information that we feed our minds nowadays, many people find themselves suffering from mental rumination, anxiety, insomnia and the likes. In meditation, we learn to calm the mind and take control of the so called “monkey mind”: the restless, erratic and stressful patterns of thinking. You will learn about the science of meditation and establish a simple and safe breath-centered meditation practice for your daily life.
Asana (Posture): the natural state of our being is that of harmony between body, mind and soul. Through calm, strong and mindful movement of the body we learn to find our center again and get in touch with the harmony we were born with. In this course, you will learn a basic, yet powerful traditional Hatha Yoga Asana practice that you can practice on your own, too. We will also take a deep dive into the scientific understanding of Yoga and its health benefits.
Pranayama (Breathing): the key to both Asana and meditation practice lies with something that we all have more or less become completely ignorant about: our breath. Your breath is the main instrument to learn to move and control the energy in your body and your emotional states. We will analyse together how most of us breathe the “wrong” way nowadays, how to properly let the breath flow and practice different forms of breath control.
Yoga Philosophy: many aspects of Yogic philosophy (particularly about conduct in daily life) are similar to the Buddhist and Vedantic philosophy. Yogic philosophy urges us to take a step back and look a the bigger picture instead of getting caught up in the drama of the situation. We will explore the basic principles of the Yogic way of life (“the eight limbs of Yoga”) and see how these concepts can fit into our modern life.
There will be ten course dates (every Sunday from 7-8:30 pm) and the total fee for the course will be €120 for the entire course (incl. organic herbal tea and little organic snacks). You can register via the form below (T&C).
I look forward to practice with you :)
Love,
Gauri
